The Cecilian performance was neither rhetorical nor solemn nor catastrophic, as is often heard.The young conductor Andrés Orozco-Estrada, very sure of himself, wanted a slender interpretation - Mozart basically was 35 years old! -, vibrant and tense, without excesses in the pathos. So the very good singing company, the soprano Rachel Harnisch, found itself poetically and without languishing the Mozartian text, supported by the compactness of the choir and the orchestra in which wood and brass shone. A Requiem fresh, youthful, melodic and at the same time full of sighs barely held. With Mozart there is always something new.
